Después apareció como concursante en varios concursos de la televisión española, como Locos por la tele (1990) y No te rías, que es peor (1990). Con el dinero que ganó con esas apariciones, dirigió Evilio. (1992) y, poco después, Perturbado (1993), con el que ganó un Goya al mejor cortometraje en 1994. Su último cortometraje es la secuela Evilio vuelve (El purificador) (1995).
